Break Away
The Better Way To Anchor
This new design has no perishable components. If you need to break the device (old zip tie method), it simply breaks with the ability to re-fasten with little effort. You are ready to go in very short time. No need to make sure you leave shore with an ample amount of zips.
It’s time for a new way… to break away!
For sport boaters and fisherman there is nothing more disappointing than being out on the water anchored and when it’s time to leave you cant pull your anchor up. It’s caught on something at the bottom.
Over the years captains have devised a simple fix for this. They change the attachment point from the front of the anchor to the back and then have a secondary attachment location which was the original attachment location. This is held in place by either a zip tie or sometimes a hose clamp. Either way it has to be something that with some force (300 pound pull) the zip tie breaks allowing for the boat to pull the anchor in the opposite direction in which it was holding the boat for the duration of time anchored.
